The Life and Times of Jim
Hi, there. I'm Jim. Welcome to my phlog!
This site was written for Las Vegas, then LouisVille. Now, it seems to be about anywhere. In these phlogs, you'll see a lot of my personal notes and pictures. I like to post my observations here to remember life and celebrate it. I'm not religious. I don't pray for good fortune. I'm ecstatically grateful for the gift of life and I think our time should be remembered and not taken for granted. I'm not a writer. I think pictures tell stories so much better than words. I love just about everything in this life, and, I guess that would have to include you. So, if you've seen me, don't be surprised if your picture is in here somewhere. Of all the critters, people are absolutely the most interesting.

It was nice to have it all to ourselves (kind of). We came to see the Music and Science Museum, but they close at 5pm.
We settled for the laser light show,
which went to the music of Queen. We also saw a U2 concert in 3D. It was great. Surprisingly, it all cost less seeing a box office movie

No, but they gave us a "gottago" serving of tea at closing.

Chinatown in Seattle is much smaller than the one in San Francisco, but its small selection of shops and restaurants are very charming.

I love these little Chinatown shops.
I tried some of their Korean ginsing by  placing a slice in my mouth and letting it dissolve for about 15 minutes. It really seemed to make me feel good.
I bought a baggy of it!

The girl below was VERY nice. We sat down at a tiny table and shared a pot green tea with her. The ambience was very warm and friendly.

The Skylark Cafe is supposed to be a sought out dance bar / supper club...
It was okay, but I kind of expected more. It was small, but I'd think it could be a lot of fun after 9pm. We left there at 8pm. Their Monte Cristo is the best I've had since the 70's (at the old Mgm).  The turkey, ham and swiss sandwich was fried in egg batter, and was done very nicely. Becky had a Reuben which was made with marbled rye. The food was textbook perfect.
We stopped by the Show Box.
Young girls were standing in the parking lot, dressed up to the hilt. I thought My truck just went "WHOA, what's this?". We swing in, and check it out. The owners had converted an old brick walled warehouse into a show room / bar. It was big inside, but I thought it lacked the charm of a renovated warehouse. I thought it tried to look too modern, with its black and gold theme. They were having a fashion show inside at a the cost of $25 a ticket. There was a runway for the models, with those metal fold up chairs you see at high schools lining up along the side of it. Somehow, I just wasn't impressed.

All these graves were added by date of passing. One of these soldiers died the day I was born. The man lived to be 30.

Snoqualmish Falls is about 30 minutes from Seattle, and they have a Safeway! Ironically, it takes us 30 minutes to drive to the QFC store around the corner. Guess where we're doing our shopping now? The world is such a strange place.

It was Renee's knot. They've been married for a while now. This was their late ceremony.
We were tempted to jump up there...

How do you know we didn't get married ? bwaaaahahahaha.
Hopefully, most beautiful women marry into wealth.
I've do have some real estate stuck to my shoes, some silver in Oral Bank and some CDs in my portfolio case.
These days, I'm an oil barren, a money mongol, and my next house will be a manufractured home. Why, why, why couldn't my last name be Rockefeller?

Spring is showing its colors, both in plants and in people. Seattle is beautiful!
This lady sitting on nothing. It seemed nobody noticed but me and her.
If I lost my mind here, I could talk to the flowers and not be far out of place.

 Jim  Good Morning Seattle
I'm at work in Seattle greeting the early morning risers. There's nobody around and I like it. The streets are vacant, the bus wasn't that crowded and the office is empty. If I can just find the light switch, everything will be sitting on the Ritz and honky dory (whatever that means).

 jim  Easter at Julias
We drove around, pushing through the cold Seattle Easter afternoon, trying to find a place to share a feew warm smiles. Finally, we came to an interesting place in Queen Anns.
We ended up at Julia's.

The atmosphere was great, the service was friendly, the food was wonderful and price was under $25.
The restaurant was a house at one time. The waiter and host we very friendly. On a laugh, the waiter told us he was Cher, and the Bunny was Madonna at Le Faux. And the host dug up a brochure.
We finally found a cool restaurant !!!
Below is a picture of the wine cellar.
